Tempus Choral Society The Tempus Choral Society is a non-auditioned community SATB choir drawing over 60 singers from Hamilton to Toronto.

With great tunes of many genres, evoking moods wistful or merry, peaceful or exuberant, we sing from our hearts to gladden your hearts! The Tempus Choral Society is a community SATB choir for singers 18 years of age and over. With over 90 members, from Hamilton to Toronto, Tempus boasts a varied musical repertoire including Broadway, Jazz, Classical, Gospel, Sacred and Contemporary. We perform thr

oughout the year with major concerts during December and May. Tempus has also participated and competed in festivals throughout North America. We are proud to have received a Bronze medal at the World Choir Games 2012. On December 1, 2013, Tempus was thrilled to have performed the Messiah at the Lincoln Center in New York City, and are returning to sing at Carnegie Hall on April 12, 2014.

Sad to say, Brian Turnbull has informed the choir that he is retiring as director of the Tempus choir, principally for health reasons, but also to spend more time on his organ studies and Masonic activities.
Brian is not only the founder of Tempus, but has been its heart and soul from the beginning. It is difficult to picture the choir without Brian at the helm. He is leaving after the spring concert, and the choir has vowed to make this the best concert ever! You may be interested in attending Brian's last concert, which will be at Knox church, so here is the poster with all the information.
