🇨🇦✨ Looking Back: Canada Day Celebration 2026 at Mel Lastman Square

As summer winds down, we proudly look back at one of the most memorable days of the season in Yonge North York.

On July 1, Mel Lastman Square came alive during our Yonge North York Canada Day Celebration and Fireworks Display co-hosted with the City of Toronto. The event invited approximately 40,000 local residents and visitors for a day of live music, cultural performances, family activities, specialty food and vendors.

The fun-filled daytime programming and the incredible lineup of main stage evening performances curated a festival that showcased the vibrancy of Yonge North York.

The grand finale was spectacular! Mel Lastman Square was packed in attendance. The night concluded with a fireworks display, the highlight for everyone gathered in the heart of our Business Improvement Area.
