PRESS PAUSE

This should be the familiar periodically
Am I paying attention to
self-care
Am I pausing to feel the
Miraculous around me
Please drink it all in slowly.

The colours & sensations
Life trying to get your
attention
To join her in her workshop
To amass beautiful
memories
That will be yours alone.

Isn’t it an incredible feeling to know
That you were chosen
In this space and time
To record superb memories
How well-rounded we can become in the joy of living.

Press pause
Give yourself a hug
Whisper ‘I love you
More & more each day’
Your journey is spectacular.

I am in the here and now
Given a gift of this day
To use it in a special way
Will you join me
In a cup of tea.

We will converse
About the intimate
World affairs
You and I
And the difference we can make.

Alone is good
I am comfortable
In my own company
But two is better
It is nice to share the look of love.

A caring which makes
The world of difference
Sharing an intimate joke
Laughter is such good
medicine
Let’s share a chuckle or two.

Are you ready to join me
In the game of life
It is so diverse
So full of wonder
We may find joy in the middle of it.

AN AFFECTION FOR LIFE

An affection for life
And how it surprises you
With its love gifts
Which comes in many
Shapes and sizes.

Remembering them all
With a grateful heart
A phone call from Ontario
Enabling me to speak to
my brother
A phone call from GREECE to see the happy faces of my grandchildren.

Life & its many twists & turns
But it is all about making
The right choice & how you respond to events
That is a liberating feeling
The breath of freedom.

As life goes on
I still claim a fond affection
for it
I believe it supports me
Likes me to succeed
In my small endeavours.

Life is large
As I am capable of being
Coast in my down moments
Still waving my banner of hope
It sees me through every time.

My philosophy …
If I am for me
Who can possibly be against me
Viva la positivity
I raise my banner high.

With this in mind
I search out rich experiences
That colour my world
Bright and beautiful
Live and act well always.

DO WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL
HAPPY

In a world that demands your attention
It is beneficial to step back
Take a moment to be quiet
A place that pleases you
Instills a calm into your soul.

Take the stance
Of being for you
Self-care being of prime importance
For living a life that supports
you
In every way.

Count your days
As meaningful
Seek out what makes you happy
Fills you with peace
By taking the steps that was meant for you.

Stepping out of confusion
To the reality
That you were meant to be happy
Have a joy-filled journey
At peace with what you accomplished.

Stay awhile in your private corner
Until you feel refreshed
Renewed in spirit
Taking a brief vacation
Is as good as a nap.

Keep up the momentum
To retain the happiness habit
It satisfies your needs
When the going gets tough
Fairness works well here.

There are many things that keep me happy
Like reading a good book
Listening to the music of jazz
Appreciating the ever-changing
sky view
The quiet moments that makes me feel serene.
