Coastal Bliss design is a favorite this time of year. The bleached driftwood is quintessential BC coast - each piece chosen and detailed for its natural curve and grain.

The look carries west coast character, but it settles into almost any home, bringing forest and shoreline into one frame.

Ten days of music, art, food, and people moving through West Vancouver’s shoreside. Harmony Arts returns every summer, and this year “Forest Floor” and “Into the Deep” were part of it, sitting in the group exhibit among many beautiful paintings and sculptures.

By the time the festival closed, both pieces had found homes. Grateful to the people who saw something in them, and are now enjoying them in their own space.

And the market itself - the wandering, the familiar faces at booths I always end up circling back to. A collective community of talented artists showcasing their craft.

Thank you Harmony Arts Festival for another wonderful event!

Six days of island and coastal time filled with good friends, forest adventures, wildlife sightings of every kind, sunset ocean swims and a sprinkling of much needed spa time.

I came home with some driftwood gems, gathered piece by piece along the shore. One found me...shaped like a heart, a reflection of my whole trip in a single object. Restored, my heart is full and ready to create again 💚

Cottage Hospice in East Vancouver is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and now that same quiet nature lives inside as well. A botanical inspired moss circle greets visitors at the entry, and in each patient’s room, a smaller piece sits within view of the bedside.

Being able to bring this kind of work into a place that will hold someone’s last days, surrounded by the people they love, is something that sits close to my heart in a way I don’t think I’ll ever fully get used to. I’m grateful to have been trusted with a space this meaningful.💚

With the trees behind me and the moss in my arms, it’s hard to tell anymore where the forest stops and the frame begins. A piece like this isn’t meant to sit apart from nature, it’s meant to blur into it, to feel less like something made and more like something that carries the grounded stillness of the forest into your space 🌿

No watering, no light, for years to enjoy. 💚
