Most of the mugs I make are created on the pottery wheel. This one was hand built, and I’m really digging the finished result! Hand building begins by rolling out a flat slab of clay. The sections of the mug template (think sewing pattern) are then cut out and carefully placed together. I decided to add some texture to the bottom section of this mug, which is a fun addition!

Hello! It’s been a while! I’m slowly getting back into pottery after quite a long and unplanned hiatus. I’ve missed creating… a lot. I will be posting a small batch of items the week of December 16th. Ornaments, spoon rests, trinket dishes, and maybe even a few mugs. 💕 Each heart bowl is made using the “pinch pot” method. They start as a ball of clay, and are transformed into hearts by carefully pinching around the sides of the clay, then manipulating the form into its final shape. No two are exactly alike! These ones are in stock and ready for pick up. Send me a direct message to make arrangements. 💕
