Hi friends

As some of you know, if you’ve been to the shop lately( since I can’t hid it anymore 😅)
My husband and I are expecting our second baby early January/ late December. We are so excited for our little girl’s arrival 💖

Now for the not so exciting news..
My last day as of right now will be December 14th, possibly sooner.

And I will not be returning..

It’s been an amazing 4+ years being your body piercer but the time has come for me to move on and see what else the future holds. I’m hoping to one day either work at a shop in Saskatoon or a near town so please stay following this account and see where the future takes me. I will always be a Body Piercer, I love this job but right now I am a mother first and foremost🤰🫶🏽

I wanted to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you following me, who trusted me and helped me create this amazing business that I have. I wouldn’t have become the Body Piercer I am today if it wasn’t for you all ❤️ The friends and amazing souls I’ve met along the way truly inspire me and I’m so thankful!

If you were planning to get a piercing or needed some jewelry assistance please come see me before December 20th as there will no longer be a body piercer at the shop after this date.

Again Thank you all so much and I hope to see you soon for a farewell in person 🫶🏽❤️

We are starting off Info Tuesday’s with ✨Aftercare✨

Standard Aftercare-
Before I start,these care guidelines are based on professional experience, research and common sense.
Each body and person tends to heal differently and at different rates. Ultimately listen to your body and trust your instincts!

Years ago healing a piercing would involve using rubbing alcohol, now it is considered detrimental to healing piercings.

Overall appropriate piercing aftercare consists of
- hygiene
- good health habits
- avoiding trauma ( sleeping on the piercing, hitting it,etc)
- soaking in saline or using non scented soap
- keeping it clean

You have to be consistent and committed.

Using non iodized fine grain sea salt or a mild non scented soap to gently clean your piercings are the only way you will properly heal a piercing. A piercing is a wound, by using rubbing alcohol it is shown to be to drying and to strong, it will kill any good cells.

By using the wrong cleaner or to many different products it will do more harm than good.
Twice a day for 2 weeks and once a day after

You may even find what worked well in the past doesn’t have the same effect on a subsequent piercing. It will vary on climate, water quality, your health, and many more factors.

Oral piercings-
The same applies for oral piercings avoid playing with your piercing and downsize your piercings when the appropriate time has passed and swelling has diminished.

Rest-Try not to speak or move your jewelry unless necessary
Ice- cold drinks or chipped ice, ice cream will help tremendously
Taking anti inflammatory medications may also help reduce swelling and discomfort
It is also a good idea to purchase a new toothbrush to keep everything sanitary!

If you are ever concerned about your healing piercing never hesitate to come in and I can always take a look at it, it may be something simple!
