Building a mooseskin boat takes hard work, patience and discipline! Here you can see the most important part of the boat (the keele) being stitched. We do what is called a double stitch to keep water out and to help strengthen the bottom (the keele) for any abuse it may take while on the river. Our ancestors were engineers of the land!
