Join us at the Evergreen Centre this Saturday, October 3, for Tomatoes Tried to Kill Me But Banjos Saved My Life! An evening of music, storytelling and inspiration—all while supporting our community. ❤️

Proceeds will support both Nipawin Performing Arts and the Nipawin Region Health Foundation, with the Foundation’s portion supporting comfort and care in Nipawin Hospital’s chemotherapy department.

We are very excited about a special event happening at the Evergreen Centre on Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30 pm! The Nipawin Regional Health Foundation is teaming up with the Performing Arts Group to host Keith Alessi with his “Tomatoes Tried to Kill Me, but Banjos Saved My Life”, concert!!
Keith is an accountant, entrepreneur, cancer survivor and musician who shares his life story and tells how humour, a positive attitude and learning to play the banjo, greatly influenced his recovery! And the really great part is that Keith donates 100% of the proceeds to organizations in the community which are involved in health care and the performing arts!!
The Health Foundation will use their funding towards furnishing the Nipawin Hospital’s Chemotherapy Room which enables patients to receive their treatment locally instead of having to travel to other centres which can greatly benefit their comfort during treatment and recovery. Our Performing Arts Group will put their funding towards programming for children in the community! What great gifts! Anyone who has been touched by cancer in any way will be inspired by Keith Alessi’s performance.
Gather some friends and come out to enjoy an evening of story-telling, music and laughter and maybe even a few tears as well! We look forward to welcoming you on October 3rd!❤️🎶🪕❤️

The countdown is on! Only 4 days until our “Concert Season Opener” when we welcome the great Lee Siegel and his amazing voice, performing his “Soul Man” concert! It features the music of many R&B and Soul artists, including Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and more. All ticket info is on the poster - we have a great line-up of concerts this year and you might want to buy a Season Ticket which is a great deal for all 5! Season tickets are transferable- if you can’t make it to a concert and patrons also get preferred seating in the front rows- whats not to like?🎶. Season tickets for the “Stars for Saskatchewan” 2025-26 Concert Series are now for sale at Nipawin’s amazing gift store with something for everyone, Twisted Tree!!
This year there are 5 great concerts - starting on November 1st with a Blues and Broadway singer, Lee Siegel, singing the music of Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson and many more of your favourite singers!Check out the poster for more info on the artists and dates for the concerts.
Adult Season tickets are $130, are transferable and provide preferred seating at every concert. Student season tickets (10-18yrs): $30 and under 10 are free with an adult 🎵. Single concert tickets are always available at the door: Adult: $35 Student : $15🎵. Looking forward to another season of world - class Canadian entertainment- right here in Nipawin, at the Evergreen Centre!!🎉
