It's official! Canada has recognized the SaskMétis Works Business Directory. Certified Métis businesses in Saskatchewan can now access federal contracts set aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business. Those contracts count toward Canada's mandatory 5% Indigenous procurement target.

MN–S Minister of Economic Development Marg Friesen said, “With our federal partners, we want to build out economic opportunities for Métis citizens in Saskatchewan in industry, technology, education and skills training, and culture, with the procurement strategy Canada has.”
