This was a fairly large commission (20x24") that I completed a few months ago. It was also housed in one of our custom built frames (w**e soaked oak staves). I used a few different w**es on this painting as well as some ink and white acrylic to add some highlights and shading.

I am so behind on sharing commissions that I've worked on this year. From moving and then flooding right afterwards my days have been filled with cleaning and repairing the house and painting in between. Will slowly share these as time goes by.

I was lucky to create these 3 custom w**e paintings earlier this year. We built the frames as well out of the w**e soaked oak staves to complete the overall look.

I have NEVER cancelled a show...ever...but unfortunately tomorrow's Art in the Park Oakville well be the first. 😢

We just moved to St. Catharines (just 2 weeks ago) and todays storm that went through flooded our basement. Both of our sumppumps were running none stop but nothing was stopping the water from coming up from the drains.

I really really wanted to be in Oakville tomorrow for the show but now sadly will be tearing up our basement instead. Just sucks. 😞

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. We've officially moved into a new home and currently getting use to everything. My work area is set up and I'm plugging away on the many commissions that I can't wait to share.
I'm also getting ready for an upcoming show on August 3rd Art in the Park Oakville and finished this piece to bring with me. Loving the idea of only painting the highlighted areas and leaving the w**e filter colour to show through. (I've installed it into one of the w**e soaked oak stave frames that my parents built 😊)

Latest Commission
I was asked to paint a keepsake of their favourite view and since it was a sunset scene I wanted to use some tea to bring in more of that yellowish tone.
Besides the tea I also used some Cabernet Sauvignon and Baco Noir w**e to finish off the painting and like usual brought in some ink to help with the shading.
On the last pic you can see the painting framed which was a great choice. It looks amazing!

This commission was for the customers dear friend who sadly had to say goodbye to her furbaby. I combined a few reference photos to create this keepsake and used a few different w**es to do so as well as tea. 😊

I forgot to mention that I said goodbye to this original last weekend! I painted Pinhead back in 2023 and I feel that it aged quite nicely. 😉

I also said goodbye to my latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles painting. I did not have this one for very long. ❤️

Today I said goodbye to my Shoebill Stork original. This was the frame that showed me a trick with cutting glass for an oval frame. This piece was a favourite of mine and he's off to a good home. 🥰
