My goal is not to impose answers, but rather to encourage questions, & reignite the wonder we feel when we open ourselves to what the world offers us. As a visual artist, I try to represent the world in a way that reminds others of their core intelligence and decency. My goal is not to impose or even propose answers, but rather to encourage questions, and to reignite the wonder we feel when we open ourselves to what the world offers us. I hope that my art will inspire others to sense everything as though they were becoming aware of it for the first time and instill in them a feeling of insatiable curiosity. When we pursue this curiosity, we learn; and learning is the most powerful generator of wellness, for the more we know to be true, the safer we are. Art and science are the two most common ways in which humans seek the truth. By adding new certainty of knowledge, it encourages us to feel safe about changing our minds. Art does the same by encouraging us to see "eye to eye" with new perspectives. It asks us to challenge what we have come to believe by adding something new and indisputable. In this way, art grants us the humility to accept that no matter what we already know, we still have much to learn. This need not overwhelm or depress us. On the contrary, we must be continually excited by the opportunity to transform supposition it into knowledge.
