The Ice Rink in The Gardens at Pillar and Post

The Pillar and Post Ice Rink is now officially closed for the season.

While this recent cold snap may make it feel like winter is sticking around a little longer, the repeated swings in temperature have made rink conditions unsafe to continue operations.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and skated with us this year. We loved being part of your winter memories and appreciate all the support throughout the season. We hope to see all of our skaters back again next year.

Be sure to stay tuned, as we’ll be hosting events in the gardens throughout the summer.

With the rain snow and wind the surface is too bumpy to skate safely on.

With the return of some colder weather we are going to try to flood the rink today to make up for the ice we lost in the hopes of possibly opening again this weekend.

Rink is closed this weekend, stay positive! We're holding on to the ice, and with cooler temps next weekend, we might just squeeze in another fantastic weekend on the ice. Outpost is still open for treats and drinks

With the warmer temperature and the sunshine ☀️(nice to see by the way for a change) has been a bit of a hindrance preventing us fron repairing the crack as well as grooming the ice surface.

While prepping the ice to open today our maintenance crew discovered some major cracks in the rink.
They are doing their best to repair and we will keep you all updated should the situation change.

Conditions are pretty good with a few rough patches here and there.
Outpost is open with tasty treats and warm beverages. Grab and friend and hit the ice.

The warmer weather today means the rink will be closed once again today so we can try to protect the ice surface for the colder weather forecasted to return early next week.
