To all the Dad's out there; Thank you!
It’s Father’s Day today, when dads get their day in the sun.
So, here's to all the dads, daddies, pops and poppas who do so much to make our lives special.
And here's to the stepfathers, who treat their stepchildren exactly as they treat their own.
Here's to the foster dads who answer the call at all hours to take in a child in crisis.
And here's to the adoptive dads who welcome children born to other parents into their lives, enriching everyone.
Here's to the big brothers, uncles, grandfathers and godfathers who step up when dads aren't there to support us along the way.
Here’s to the best friends’ dads, who welcome their children’s friends into the family, teach them life lessons, and treat them as though they were one of their own.
Here’s to the fathers-in-law who may fill the void of an absent father and know that although they aren’t your father, they love you just the same.
And here's to the teachers who sometimes feel like dads to a classroom full of kids.
Here's to the mum and grans who stand in at "Father's Day" events at school and in clubs, so their kids aren't there alone.
And here's to the men who step up to be role models where they might not otherwise exist.
Time is fleeting, so if you can, thank your dad today. If you can't, thank a dad who has helped shape your life. And don’t forget to thank our Father, who loves and cares for us all.
Just like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day can bring about some complicated feelings for many people. If you celebrate today, we wish you a joyful day. For those who don’t, we pray that you enjoy a peaceful day.
