Komedy for Kidneys Reaches Milestone by Making People Laugh!
Stand-Up Comedy Night surpasses $200,000 in Donations to NHF
Organizers of the Komedy for Kidneys Rodney Pentland Memorial Benefit Show are proud and humbled to announce a milestone in its fundraising efforts for dialysis care in Niagara. After 19 years, the stand-up comedy night, also billed as the Funniest Night in Niagara, has surpassed $200,000 in donations ($203,487) to the Niagara Health Foundation, with proceeds from its most recent edition totaling $18,257.08. A cheque presentation and ceremonial plaque unveiling took place Tuesday at the St. Catharines dialysis site. Amongst the attendees were members of Rodney’s family.
“Hitting the $200,000 mark in support of local dialysis patients is a big deal for us!" stated Dino Fazio and Mark Matthews, Komedy for Kidneys Co-Managers. “Dialysis literally kept me alive until my transplant" said Matthews, "We're very proud and grateful we've funded treatment and support that has helped a lot of people.
A tremendous thank you to event supporters including Lead Sponsors: Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre and Rose City Chrysler, along with Event Sponsors: Hall Ironworks, Morrison Pharmacy, The UPS Store-McLeod Rd., and Wyndham Grand Fallsview Hotel Niagara Falls for their continued support.

The 20th anniversary show will take place Thursday, March 25, 2027, at the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre. Tickets will be available for purchase before Christmas.
