We are happy to invite students ages 4 and up into the world of art where opportunities are endless. We offer art classes, P.A day programs, March break and Summer camps, Birthday Parties, Life drawing sessions, and variety of art workshops and events. Students are led through the creative process with every artwork they make. The process involves exploring, imagining, sketching and producing fina

l work through a fun, engaging, hands on educational experience. Students learn to work with acrylic and watercolour paint, oil and soft pastels, collage, pencil, ink, clay, papier-mache, mixed media and other materials to create landscape,s, portraiture, still-life, abstract, and imaginary works. Start Academy is established by Alexandra Reznik. Alexandra has been making art since age 3 and has never stopped since. She obtained her undergraduate degree from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting. Her passion for sharing knowledge with children has led her to obtain a Bachelor of Education from Queens University. Alexandra has been teaching fine arts for over 8 years. As a part of Artist in Residence project she has been working with students in YRDSB since 2009 making school murals, mosaics, installations, and various projects.
