BOOM around the BOX – Call for Proposals
Here For Now is seeking proposals for a new performance format featuring site-specific works that take place outside and around Boombox. Boombox, a shipping container performance space at 44 W 4th Ave, Vancouver (managed by Here For Now), features upcoming shows including residency performances in September 2026 and regular mixed-bill performances.

Selected artists will receive an artist fee, a studio residency at Boombox (July–September), and presentation in a three-night mixed-bill performance run in September.

Proposals should respond to the unique spatial qualities of Boombox and its surrounding area, with work designed to be experienced from outside.

Artist in Residence Program 2026
Mackie Lake House Foundation, in partnership with , is offering a four-week residency supporting the development of a new artistic project or series. Artists are invited to explore how heritage and culture intersect within the context of a historic property and its surrounding community.

The residency runs from September 14 to October 8, 2026. Following the residency, the selected artist will present a solo exhibition at the Vernon Public Art Gallery from October to December 2026, featuring work created during the residency.
