It’s time for our final performer for tomorrow evening, and she’s a sweet one 🍯 It’s our show’s co-producer, Sugar L’Estrange ✨ She’ll be treating you honeys to an act tomorrow night, plus she’ll be on the mic!

From the ice-cold coasts of Canada to drop-splitting her way across the globe, this delicious dish is always bringing the cheese. Since diving into Burlesque in 2018, this performer has been nonstop, going on to perform most notably at festivals across Canada and the US, and she’s fresh from competing at the Guadalajara Burlesque Festival & Japan International Burlesque Festival. She’s mentally weak, but physically strong - she’s the Big T***y Nightmare of Burlesque - it’s Sugar L’Estrange!

We have another sweet cast announcement for you 🍯 This performer delights our audiences every time she joins us—it’s Melrose Twist 🍬 ✨

Melrose Twist is an Indigenous artist, go-go dancer, and budding costume designer.

Currently she dances with Zynth Entertainment, and teaches “Rave-lesque” with The Pin-Up Posse. She has shimmied her way through shows all around the Pacific Northwest, and recently made her European debut at the Cologne Burlesque festival!

She’s sweetest treat—Melrose Twist is ready to take you to the candy shop!

We are bee-yond excited for this queen bee of burlesque to be joining us at the Flapper Lounge for next Thursday’s show! It’s the incredible Belle Jumelles 🐝👑

Belle Jumelles is one of Toronto’s most popular Burlesque performers! This q***r fat femme has been gracing stages all over Canada, the Us and the UK for over 16 years. She is a member of the Steers and Q***rs family, Les Femmes Fatales, and The Succulent Six. She has headlined and featured at many festivals - including the Toronto Burlesque Festival, Queen City Burlesque Expo and World Pride Festival. She was awarded the 2025 Coco Framboise Trailblazer award, from the Toronto Burlesque Festival and is a beloved Pillar in the Toronto Burlesque scene. Belle takes great pride in performing and Emceeing shows, but even more in empowering others! Her renowned 8 week intro to burlesque class, has welcomed over 300 burlesque babes, who all call her MOM! She is thrilled to be joining the cast of Bee’s Knees - returning to her home away from home - THE WEST COAST!!!

An honour just to be nominated ✨ Thank you so much to anyone who nominated Meadow Physical Productions for Best Burlesque Show in the The Georgia Straight Best of Vancouver Awards this year!

It truly is an honour to be able to make art and provide a platform for other artists to showcase their own, especially when times feel precarious and difficult. Art can help us find joy, catharsis, and shared experiences.

As a disabled artist and producer I spend a lot of time thinking about the ways I interact with my art, the ways that has changed, and the ways I can continue to advocate and make space for other artists, and that’s what I look forward to bringing more of into the next year.

Thank you to Sugar L’Estrange and Grace Galore who have been the world’s best co-producers this year. Thank you to the venues I’ve worked with who have been nothing but supportive and wonderful: The Chickadee Room and Flapper Lounge ✨

This next buzz-worthy performer is back at the Flapper Lounge to delight us with two sweet acts on Thursday 🍯✨ ROXY REVERIE helped us launch this show back in 2024 before taking off across the continent, and now we relish every visit from this honey.

Roxy Reverie is dynamite, erudite, and here to serve you FACE! Claiming Vancouver as her burlesque home but now Connecticut-based, Roxy has performed her high octane numbers in various festivals, including What the Funk?! (Seattle; awarded 1st runner up Grandmaster Funk), New York Burlesque Festival, Teaser Festival (New Orleans), and the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender (Las Vegas). Roxy is a member of Diasporic Dynasty (Vancouver’s first BIPOC burlesque collective) and most recently CT-based Haus Posh Pearl and Nutmeg Burlesque. As much as she loves having access to good pizza in the northeast, she is excited to be back in her burlesque home!
