Shadows & Dreams will be on hiatus this summer as the City of New Westminster has chosen not to support the performances in the park this year.

We'll keep you posted as we re-imagine how our productions can happen. Thank you all for your support over the years. We've loved bringing our shows to you and seeing so many of you come back year after year.

We’re back at the bandshell this year - no reservations required!

Cymbeline by William Shakespeare

Shadows & Dreams Theatre Company is back after last years’ successful re-mount of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This year’s production is Cymbeline, one of Shakespeare’s lesser known and least produced works. Princess Imogen is promised in marriage to Cloten but her heart belongs to the soldier Posthumus. Imogen runs away and hides in the forest while her evil step-mother plots to take over the kingdom. With a fairytale setting this comedic play is full of treachery, mistaken identities and the required happy ending. Free, family friendly and good for all ages. The closer you sit the better you’ll hear. You are welcome to bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair.

Tickets: FREE!!! No tickets required.
When: July 23rd, 24th, 30th & 31st
All shows are at 2pm rain or shine. If there's an audience there's a show.

We’re still here today rain or shine! There is some shelter from the amazing tree but bring an umbrella and your chair. Watch us soaking wet actors perform! The show is just over an hour long.

We’re not complaining- we need the rain! There’s still a show today rain or shine. Bring your umbrella, sit under the big tree in the farm and watch us get to play in this welcome respite from the dry, hot summer!

Some great photos from our performances last weekend. Two shows to go: August 7 & 8th . There are some walk up spaces available so show up early. Bring a lawn/camping chair to sit in. There is shade and a giant tree covers much of the audience so should protect from any showers on Saturday. (Yay rain!)
