Come out and join us for the May Days Parades this weekend! Bring your lantern and march with the Spark in the Dark crew!

Sending gratitude to our amazing community! Spark in the Dark would not exist without all of your kind support!

Thank you to the many volunteers who spent countless hours helping out with the lantern making workshops, planning for the Spark in the Dark Festival, setting up and then taking down after the celebrations.

Acknowledging our talented local food vendors who provided tasty treats for everyone and our wonderful Police and Fire Departments who kept everyone safe during the parade.

Thank you to Adam Shaikh for his brilliant music! Despite the rain we danced in the street long after the parade.

Great appreciation to Rosalie Bird for her inspired creations, John Fyke and Vern Gustafson for their work in gathering, donating and building the fires that kept us warm outside the Bosun Hall.

Hope to see you next year!

One more sleep till Spark in the Dark!
Saturday, January 31, 4:45 at the entrance to the Kohan Garden!

All are welcome!

The Lantern Competition includes 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
Prizes for kids too. Grab your registration number at the
beginning of the parade at the Kohan Gardens from Spark
Volunteers. Make sure you get your vote in at the Bosun Hall.

Our last free lantern making workshop is scheduled for Sunday, January 25, from 10 am - 2 pm. Materials and some guidance will be available at the Knox Hall in New Denver. All are welcome!
