Queen City Escape Rooms

The best part isn’t just escaping the room — it’s the small victories along the way. Clues found, puzzles cracked, keys discovered, doors opened.. and the shared triumphs at each step 🙌

With two unique adventures to choose from, we're here to provide an opportunity to escape from mundane routines and enter a new world with your chosen group of friends and family - accommodating group sizes from 2 to 8. We're open 7 days a week from mid-day 'til late!

Artist call! Local mosaic artists, this is your time to shine ☀

In partnership with City of Nelson, we are inviting experienced mosaic artists and artist-led teams to submit proposals for a major new permanent public artwork at the corner of Baker and Ward Streets in downtown Nelson.

Until recently, the corner of Baker and Ward Streets served as a downtown public transit stop. With the transit stop now relocated, there is an opportunity to reimagine this prominent but currently underutilized space through public art.

Up to three artists/teams will be shortlisted and invited to develop site-specific concept proposals, with each receiving a $500 honorarium for the development of their proposal.

*The lead artist must reside within the Columbia Basin Trust region, as required by the Columbia River Basin Public Art Program*

🔗Read more about the project and process here: https://ndac.ca/news/mosaic-project-call/

⏰First submission deadline is on September 11th, apply soon!

📎The project is being developed for application to the Columbia River Basin Public Art Program, administered by the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance and funded by Columbia Basin Trust. The selected proposal will form part of the funding application, and the project is contingent upon successful funding.
