🐉 This October, help the Polka Dot Dragon Arts Society bring “Remember the Dead” to life
The Polka Dot Dragon Arts Society is a registered Canadian charity creating interdisciplinary, community-engaged art experiences in The West Kootenays.
For more than a decade, we’ve been bringing people together through art—from our much-loved Lantern Festival to our newest Permacarnival mas camp and parade.
Our work is about more than putting on events. We build solidarity through celebration—creating inclusive, accessible opportunities to make art, experience local artists, connect with one another, and participate in meaningful experiences beyond consumerism.
🕯️ This October, 100% of donations to Polka Dot Dragon Arts Society will go toward producing “Remember the Dead.”
Remember the Dead creates space for honouring the lives of departed loved ones and involves artists in promoting community connection, cultural preservation, and awareness around death and dying. Through art, performance, installation and participation, we come together to honour the dead and support one another in the experience of grief.
Arts organizations in our region do a tremendous amount with limited resources. Community donations help us create meaningful events, support local artists and performers, and keep community arts accessible to everyone.
