What If Some of Our Guests Don't Dance?

That's completely normal.

Some guests will be on the dance floor all night. Others would rather catch up with family and friends, enjoy a drink, or simply take everything in.

And there's usually at least one person who insists they never dance... until the right song comes along. 💃🕺

A great reception isn't measured by how many people are dancing every minute of the night.

For us, it's about reading the room, building the energy, and creating an atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the celebration their own way.

A packed dance floor is fantastic.

But a room full of people genuinely having a great time?

That's the goal.

THE MOMENTS THAT MATTER SHOULD BE HEARD.

The Best Wedding Audio Is the Audio Nobody Notices.

It sounds a little strange coming from a DJ company, but hear us out...

When everything is working properly, your guests shouldn't be thinking about the sound system.

• They should simply hear the vows.

• They should hear every word of the speeches.

• The music should be comfortable during dinner and come alive when it's time to dance.

Behind the scenes, that means checking microphones, managing levels, watching the room, preparing backups and making adjustments throughout the day.

Most of it will never be noticed.

And that's kind of the point.

Great wedding audio isn't about having the biggest speakers or making everything louder.

It's about making sure the moments that matter are heard.

Your "Do-Not-Play" List Matters Too

When couples start planning their wedding music, most of the attention naturally goes to what they want to hear. But, telling your DJ what you don't want is just as helpful.

A do-not-play list isn't about trying to plan every song of the night. It's about setting a few boundaries that help your DJ understand your taste.

• Maybe there are certain artists or genres you don't enjoy.

• Maybe there's a popular wedding song you've heard one too many times.

• Or maybe a particular song has a meaning or memory that simply doesn't belong at your wedding.

Whatever the reason, it doesn't need an explanation.

It also means that when a guest requests something you've specifically asked us not to play, your preferences still come first.

The goal isn't to create the perfect "wedding playlist."

It's to create a night that sounds and feels like your wedding.

Guest Requests: Yes or No?

It’s a question that comes up surprisingly often when couples are planning their wedding music:

“Should we let our guests request songs?”

Our answer? Usually, yes but with a little common sense.

Guest requests can be fantastic. Your friends and family know songs that mean something to your group that a DJ couldn’t possibly know.

• That random throwback from a university road trip.

• The song your family plays at every get-together.

• The guilty pleasure everyone somehow knows every word to.

Sometimes those requests create some of the best moments of the night. But accepting requests doesn’t mean automatically playing everything we’re asked for.

A DJ still has to consider the couple’s preferences, their do-not-play list, what’s happening on the dance floor, and whether that request actually fits the moment.

The couple’s wishes always come first.

So we’re curious...

Would you let your guests request songs at your wedding?

❤️ Absolutely, bring on the requests!

👍Yes, but within reason.

😄 Nope, we’ve got the playlist covered.

One thing we've noticed...

Every wedding has its own "turning point."

It's the moment when guests stop feeling like they're attending a wedding... and start feeling like they're part of the celebration.

Sometimes it's after a heartfelt speech.

Sometimes it's the first dance.

Sometimes it's when one person finally decides to head out onto the dance floor—and everyone else follows.

It's never exactly the same, and that's one of the reasons we love being part of weddings.

❤️ We're curious...

Looking back at a wedding you've attended, what was the moment when the celebration really came to life?

One thing we've learned after being part of so many weddings...

The moments people talk about years later usually aren't the ones anyone planned.

• It's the flower girl who decided the dance floor was hers.

• The grandparents who surprised everyone with their dance moves.

• The best friends singing every word to a song they hadn't heard in years.

• The hug that lasted a little longer than expected.

Those are the moments that make a wedding unforgettable.

The music, the timeline and the details all help create the atmosphere; but it's the people who make the memories.

❤️ We'd love to hear from you...

What's one wedding moment you'll never forget, whether it was your own wedding or one you attended?
