VIU Dance Team Vancouver Island University's Dance Team! Follow us on Instagram and TikTok We have since adapted to become a VIUSU Club team in the fall of 2023.

The Dance Team was first introduced as a VIU Athletics club in the fall of 2013. Since this change we have become more connected with our community through the clubs network and have also been able to focus on our competitions, shows, and fundraisers. The team is currently coached by Katelyn Kurtz and Jane Dean, alongside assistant coach Madeline Joseph.

It’s show week✨ Do you have your tickets yet?

Our annual Cabaret show is happening this week! Join us on March 19th and 20th at the at 7:00pm. Grab a friend for a fun night out and bring the energy! Tickets are $17 for students and $20 for general admission and can be found through the link in our bio or the QR code.

Join the team in the after the show on Friday the 20th for a cabaret themed after party! No cover charge and open to anyone!

This show is recommended for ages 17+

✨Writings On The Wall - Contemporary Line, choreographed by .j.dances and .s04_ received a Special Award, and placed 10th overall contemporary groups at the competition

✨Lux Aeterna - Ballet Group, choreographed by and .s04_ placed 10th overall ballet groups ages 13+ at the competition

✨Stompa - Jazz Group, choreographed by .j.dances received a Special Award and placed 3rd overall senior small groups

✨Fly - Tap Group, choreographed by .j.dances placed 3rd overall tap groups ages 13+ at the competition

We’re back again with our favourite show of the year, Cabaret! 🎉

Cabaret is a high energy, burlesque inspired dance show put on by the VIU Dance Team. Grab your friends and come ready to cheer. Whether you’re a dance fan, supporting someone you know, or just looking for a fun campus event, Cabaret is the perfect excuse to go out and have a great night.

Cabaret is showing on both March 19th and 20th in the at 7pm. Make sure to select the correct night when purchasing! Tickets are $17 for students and $20 for general admission. Tickets can be found through the link in our bio.
