What's happening with the Coffeehouse next month? The Replacements are!
It's a local band that delivers a tasty variety of tunes that you are sure to enjoy - from legends like The Carter Family, Hank Williams, Bob Wills and Flatt & Scruggs to current stars like Della Mae & Dan Tyminski and celebrities in-between like Tony Rice, Doc Watson and Merle Haggard... and a bit of Celtic and some of our own thrown in for good measure. They are: Jim Senka (lead guitar & vocals, band leader), Viki Walsh (dobro, vocals), Jeanette McGonigle (fiddle, vocals) Kate Main (bass, vocals). We love to play because people love the tunes.

It's a new month and, hence, another coffeehouse is coming! On the 21st, featuring the Alberni BLACK RABBIT ROUNDERS. The Black They are a gritty, hard-driving, Old Time Stringband, with Max Evans on fiddle, Sarra Evans on guitar, and Claire Fadul on
banjo. They inspire audiences and square-dancers with tunes and songs harkening back to previous generations of old-time musicians. Join them for an evening of music that will make you want to dance the night away! Even if in your own seat!
As always, the fun begins at 7 p.m. at our venue, Hope Lutheran Church, Nanaimo.

Last night we were treated to the beautifully melodic voices of Tavis and Michelle. A very touching evening with this beautiful couple, and a well-deserved standing ovation at the end.
