And just like that, another Base Camp season is in the books. 🌲

North and Cocoa Puff are officially off the road for the winter, and we’re closed for the season.

A huge thank you to everyone who took a Westy out, shared their adventures with us, recommended us to a friend, or followed along this year!

And just like that, we’re sending out our last booking of the 2026 season. 🚐🌲

It’s been one heck of a year for North, Cocoa Puff, and the Base Camp crew. A whole lot of kilometres, new places explored, stories brought home, and some pretty great people behind the wheel.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chose Base Camp for their adventure this year.

Now it’s time to send out one final Westy, then give the vans a well-earned winter break.

Thanks for a great season. We’ve already got some exciting things brewing for next year, and we can’t wait to see where the road takes us next. 🤝

Not every road trip needs the same amount of time. 🚐

Got a quick 2 to 3 nights? Keep it local around Cowichan Lake. Have 4 to 6? The Spirit Loop is calling. If you've got 6+ nights to play with, head west for Tofino, Ucluelet, and everything in between.

However many days you've got, there's an Island adventure that fits. 🌲🌊

September might be one of the best months to camp on Vancouver Island. 🌲

The summer rush starts to settle, campgrounds get a little quieter, the roads are calmer, and the days are still warm enough to make the most of them. Add in cooler evenings around the campfire, and we're definitely not ready to call camping season over yet.

September adventures are waiting. 🚐
