Twas the night before the Art Walk,
And all through the steads,
All the artists were stirring,
Not yet ready for bed.

Their creations were here,
Their creations were there,
They still had so much to do,
Before sleep and their beds.

There was woodwork and knitting,
Ceramics and sewing,
Some felting and quilting,
And cooking galore.

So come one and come all,
This weekend 10 until 3,
The Art Walk is upon us,
Only happens once a year!

Only a few more hours and we'll finally be ready!

The Art Walk is from 10am-3pm tomorrow (artist homes) and Sunday (Beacon House). The Museum will be open both days. Please make sure you bring bags for your shopping and remember that cash is king on the island for most artists. Our Artists are identified on the map, and by street address markers and frames - please make sure you support those involved this weekend! This is a community event and it only continues to be when we all work together.

Small map handouts are available at the Dinghy Dock Pub for pick-up and they are open from 10am on Saturday. Start your day with a warm drink and treat and visit the artists located there! And maybe finish your Art Walk visit at the pub, just in time to view the Nanaimo Yacht Club's Annual Christmas Light Parade on the water, savouring one of their Weekend Specials!

Art is at the heart of Protection Island and we are beyond happy that you are choosing to visit us and share in our passions. Thank you for supporting your island artists.

**The Young Artisans Tent is on Saturday, December 6 - please make sure to stop by and support our next generation of artists!

**Please note that Stop #11 is no longer participating in the Art Walk

Quilting has been a favorite craft of Linda's for many, many years. She enjoys making full size quilts as well as various quilted craft items.

The PI Cottage Quilters group formed in 2020. This group of quilters meet every week and encompass individuals from sewing newbies to knowledgeable pros, sharing quilting patterns, fabrics, skills, conversation and laughter. They love to play with fabric and create quilted items.

They are also joined by Heather, who does felted items such as neck warmers and Cathy, who creates a variety of creations, including cards, bookmarks and embroidered felt hearts.

These artists will all be selling on Saturday, December 6 in one convenient location (Stop #12)!

ART WALK 2025 ARTIST FEATURE #22

Sandee, a long time resident of Protection Island, has been reading tarot for over 30 years. Her connection to nature and the energy of this island result in magical readings, full of insight and inspiration.

Living on an island allows people to express themselves individually, and Sandee's own creations of PI Treasure Drops (pendants of natural items wrapped in wire) allow the person to wear a piece of art that connects to the earth and ocean. Her Lavender Wands are also a popular item - adding fresh scents and positive spells to your space.

Life is art and art is life; creativity is measured in many ways.

Sandee will have various pendants and wands for sale and will be available for readings.

Drop by to see Sandee on Saturday, December 6th to add a little touch of magic to your Art Walk experience (stop #8 on the map!).
