Today, Ukrainians around the world mark 35 years since Ukraine renewed its independence.

Even as Russia’s genocidal war continues, Ukraine’s spirit, identity, and culture endure. As Ukrainian Canadians, we carry both a privilege and a responsibility: to preserve and share Ukrainian culture, to protect it from erasure, and to stand firmly with Ukraine.

We remember the lives tragically lost, honour the defenders protecting Ukraine’s future, and thank all Canadians who continue to stand with the Ukrainian people.

May Ukraine’s courage and cultural resilience continue to unite and inspire us.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes! 🇺🇦

Сьогодні українці в усьому світі відзначають 35 років відновленої незалежности України.

Попри те, що геноцидна війна Росії триває, український дух, ідентичність і культура живуть. Як українці Канади, ми маємо привілей і відповідальність зберігати й поширювати українську культуру, захищати її від знищення та непохитно підтримувати Україну.

Ми пам’ятаємо тих, чиї життя були трагічно втрачені, вшановуємо захисників і захисниць, які боронять майбутнє України, та дякуємо всім канадцям, які продовжують підтримувати український народ.

Нехай мужність і культурна стійкість України й надалі об’єднують і надихають нас.

Слава Україні! Героям слава! 🇺🇦

Perogy Supper Notice:
July 31 from 5-7:00pm
Please join us for our takeout perogy supper at our church on Karls Way, Parksville.
The prices remain the same:
$20 for full meal with perogies, sausage, coleslaw , sour cream and dessert
$18 without sausage
We only take cash at this time .
We have frozen fruit pies for $20. Take them home and bake them.
Our Ukraine Fund for veterans and widows in Ukraine is offering cards for $6. All funds/donations go to purchasing generators and power banks . They have limited power sources so these are gifts they are grateful for. Thank you for helping us support our charity as well as our little temple here.
