🌍 Exciting News from the Desolation Sound Archaeology Project!

I am deeply honored to share a preview of the amazing results from the Desolation Sound Archaeology Project, a collaboration I’m leading with the Tla’amin Nation. Together, we’re uncovering insights about the past that are shaping not just history, but future policy.

It was a privilege to celebrate this work with Minister Randene Neill (Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship) and Minister Tamara Davidson (Minister of Environment and Parks). A heartfelt thank you to the Tla’amin Nation for gifting the Ministers with the beautiful 3D-printed elk antler pendant artifact we created for this occasion – a powerful symbol of the deep history of these places.

This work is more than archaeology—it’s about driving policy for a healthier future for the Tla’amin people, and ensuring the protection of this land's rich heritage. What’s even more special? We were joined by orcas who swam alongside us during our tour! 🐋

Our team’s dedication has been vital in making this possible, and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together.

We’re still looking for passionate applicants to join us and help further this important work and with other projects. If you're eager to explore, learn, and make a real impact—apply today!
