The day is almost here! Tomorrow (Monday, July 6, 2026), Tori Halley will make history as the first Newfoundlander to compete at the North American Irish Dance Championships.
Tori placed 10th in her age category (Ladies U22) at the Eastern Canadian Region Oireachtas, which qualified her for NAIDC 2026 in Orlando, FL. This is an amazing achievement and we are delighted for you!
Tori, you were the first Newfoundlander to ever compete in a CLRG Irish event (Oireachtas 2019, 5th Place in the Premiere 14&O), and now you are taking the stage at North Americans. You have truly paved the way for so many younger dancers, and are an absolute inspiration.
You ‘took the first step’ at MPSD at the age of 2, and you simply haven’t stopped! Your entire Rising Tide/MPSD Irish dance family is incredibly proud of you, and we are cheering you on from home! Congratulations, Tori ☘️
We are having a ‘Tori at North Americans’ watch party at the studio tomorrow starting 9.30 am, all are welcome to drop by!
