Had fun making this mirror and frame...walnut, cherry and maple....sand blasted image on mirror (stencil was cut using a Roland cutter and Adobe Illustrator.)

I am back to teaching Industrial Arts in the public school system and loving it. These are some of my students projects. I no longer run a home business but will re-open in the future.

A simple design for an 11 year old girl at my school. RHODONITE is a guiding stone of friendship. The stone has been cut and polished and a simple silver bail made to go through it.

My rant for the day; it amazes me how many people do not bother to get business insurance nor a business license. They advertise their "business" on kijiji.ca with falsification of information. One women wrote today on her business advertisement on Kiji, that "she is bonded with the RCMP"...I had to laugh. I wrote her to tell her what a bond is etc....and what a reply I got...Haaa! Many don't even follow bylaws to get their business licensed. It's incredible. Do you really want to do business with such an organization? Food for thought.

So I am looking at expanding to include rock cutting- will be purchasing a cab king 6" lapidary machine soon. Stay tuned. Working on some commissioned pieces this summer.
