Beautiful year of painting.
This past year, I worked only in oils, having my needs met with spaces to work. I am grateful for that. I dove into food related pieces, which fashioned well with my art showing at Salt Spring Coffee . I also had my ocean themed pieces lovingly displayed at the dock in Dragonfly Art Supplies and some pieces entered in a collaborative indigenous showing at ArtSpring, Inc.
I had a wonderful time sharing Wednesdays live-painting at Mateada with the ever so talented cacao creatrix Lena from Forest Moon Chocolate. Thank you both for having me! What an honour!
One of my biggest accomplishments was launching my adult coloring book “Journey into the Wild Self”. I look forward in formulating a proper launch/presentation in 2026!
Having moved to Montreal for a while, I explored my illustration side and began to study figure and perspective.
I am a bit overwhelmed at the ideas that want to enter reality:
-A traveling art show that mixes west coast temperate rainforest environmental science with art
-Graphic novel following the fantastic story of a frog & friends that discovers how the west coast forest functions from the interior of B.C to the ocean (meant to be educational)
-West Coast GoFish game
-Saltspring themed Snakes and Ladders inspired game
-Kids west coast colouring book
Which of these are you most excited about?
I want to extend a special thanks to all my supporters who made my life possible with art. There are no words to describe how deeply grateful I am to you. This includes friends and family.
Onwards to another great year of 2026!
