"The Sexual Encounters of Caterpillars" is a new poetry/art zine written by A Broke Theater's Madison Phyper with art by the very talented Adrienne Gantenberg. The zine discusses experiences of sexual grey zones and sexual violence in relation to pre-pubescent and adolescent bodies. Developed from a series of interviews, conversations, and musings, the collection is an attempt to say in poetic terms what could not be said in typical language. To create dialogue for the previously ineffable. The zine is for sale now through Madison. Please contact her at [email protected] to place your order! (15$ a zine, available for pick up in person, or delivery).
We hope you'll check it out! :)

Meet this week's OTC's Online Show's artist: Aidan Cottreau

Aidan Cottreau is a student currently studying at Concordia University in the Acting for the Theater Specialization. Although Aidan is most known as an actor, he is a multifaceted theater artist with experience writing, directing, scoring, and mask making for the stage. As a highschool student he received a Sears Festival award for Outstanding Production for his work on an adaptation of Medea, and has been nominated for the 2020 Hnatyshyn Foundation Developing Artists Grant for english theater acting. In 2018 he co-founded A Broke Theatre, a company originally dedicated to providing space for performers to showcase original work to other artists, through which he and his partners now produce their own plays in Montreal. This fall, Aidan will be a performer/creator in Concordia’s Black Box Project, and co-writing a contemporary adaptation of Aeschylus’ Prometheus Bound which he hopes will premiere in Winter 2021.
