The Compassionate Hypnotist

The Compassionate Hypnotist I have a master's degree in cultural anthropology and I am a certified hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and an NLP master.

People come to see a hypnotist for one of two reasons, either they want to stop a bad habit or start a good one. I help my clients to clarify the issue that they are struggling with for themselves; I get them to examine their beliefs and imagine themselves differently. I do so with compassion and I teach my clients to have compassion for themselves. I believe that change comes from acceptance so I

teach my clients to turn towards themselves with kindness and acceptance so that they can do what they need to in order to accomplish their goals. I empower my clients to make positive choices that ultimately help them not just to achieve their goals but also help make them stronger, more resilient people in the long run. Our conscious mind or what we are aware of at any given moment makes up only about 20% of our mind, the other 80% is the unconscious mind a reservoir of emotions, memories, beliefs, dreams, thoughts and other things that exist outside of our awareness at any given moment but which can exert a powerful influence over us. I like to think of the unconscious like a garden plot. In our waking lives, we receive a vast amount of suggestions from a variety of sources, much in the same way that seeds will find their way into a garden plot. And much like in a garden plot, where some seeds will thrive and others struggle to take root, some suggestions will become beliefs and others will never amount to much. And like in a garden, where some plants are desirable and others are just weeds, there are some beliefs that are true or helpful and others that are neither of those things. Hypnosis is a way to examine our beliefs, remove the ones that are untrue and unhelpful and create more realistic and helpful beliefs by working directly with the unconscious mind. It is safe, effective, and it provides immediate results.

Procrastination is a fancy word that we use to make ourselves feel bad about the choices that we make. It is often more productive to be mindful about what we are doing in the present than it is to make ourselves feel bad about past choices. Is what you are doing right now serving you?

When engaging in social media, three questions to ask about any message you post are;
1) is it true?
2) is it kind?
3) is it necessary?

If the answer to one or more of these questions is no, you may want to rethink your post or even making a post. Non-violence is a key component of authenticity and honesty.

Imagine for a moment that you could approach the world from a place of worthiness. What would you be willing to do to know deep down inside that you were enough?

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.

It is possible to motivate one's self with kindness, to be content regardless of what is going on, and to approach the world from a place of worthiness.

There is no failure only feedback, every moment is an opportunity to learn and grow.

What would it be like if you could engage with the world from a place of worthiness? What would you hear? What would you see? And most importantly, what would it feel like?

How easy is it to discount the good we accomplish, to tell ourselves that anybody else would do the same, to diminish our accomplishments. What would it be like if we could celebrate our strengths? If we could appreciate ourselves?

Scarcity drives us to take more than we need and thus makes thieves of us all. Worthiness gets us in touch with our needs so that we can truly meet them.
