Story Time my Children of House ❤️
Many years ago, I was living in some country outside Chile, completely broke, painting houses to make a living and sleeping on a sofa. It was one of those darkest periods of my life. Every night I would ask myself the same question: Will any of this ever make sense one day? For almost a year, I fell asleep in that couch listening to Deep Dish - GU Moscow, specially “Falling”. Night after night, that record became the soundtrack to that chapter of my life. There was something in it that spoke to what I was going through, even when I couldn’t put those feelings into words. Years later, life connected the dots in a way I could never have imagined. Forward in time, In Canada I met Envy (Martin Villeneuve), the Canadian artist behind the original and many other bombs back in those days. We became friends, and eventually I learned that he had created Falling during one of the darkest periods of his life too, actually with his own voice. Two people, in two different places, going through difficult chapters, connected by the same piece of music without even knowing each other.
Recently, I asked him: “Do you still have the original parts?” He did and selfishly shared them with me, and now, all these years later, I’ve had the chance to give Falling a second spin and hopefully a new life. If everything comes together, we’ll be able to share it with all of you in 2027. There is something incredibly meaningful about taking a piece of music born from darkness, one that carried me through my own darkness, and transforming that energy into something positive, powerful and, yes… an absolute dancefloor monster. Music has always had this incredible ability to travel through time with us. The meaning changes because we change.
Back then, Falling reminded me of everything I was going through. I was literally Falling. Today, it reminds us of everything we made it through.
Sometimes life doesn’t make sense while you’re living it. You just have to keep going long enough to finally connect the dots ❤️ ❤️❤️🪩🪩🪩
