Hey Gang!

We know it’s been a while since we were in touch, and we apologize for any confusion that must have caused. This spring was a maelstrom of unforeseen challenges.

As you may know, following the cancellation of the April and May events at the PHI Center, we intended to arrange alternate dates/locations, but after researching our options, and considering our own individual commitments, we have regretfully come to the decision not to continue with the lectures for the foreseeable future.

We are grateful for your support of our series and we have intensely enjoyed our experiences hosting, organizing, workshopping, and attending these events. Objet Sonore will continue to be a force in the community through our podcast. It would astound both of us if OS never again hosts another event; we will keep you in the loop!

Warmly,

Michael "Snax" Palumbo and Jamie Woollard

I gave my first-ever lecture at Toronto's Small Talk lecture series in the summer of 2012. It was a great experience, and I happily returned the following year to give another talk.

Also, the principal organizer of the series, Sarah Anne Friend, gave a highly favoured talk on TUMBLr during the first season of OSL!

Please check out this article on blogto.com for more information on their series. Congratulations to Sarah and Small Talk, and certainly when in Toronto do check them out!

Cheers,

Michael

As I wound up the icy street to 26 Mackenzie Crescent, I cursed Google Street View - I'd thought I was going to a screening in a vine covered mansion, yet here I was standing outside a nondescript house with a friend in tow who was also expecting a mansion....
