Life is all about perception, and I can tell whether I’m excited vs burnt out depending on how I look at each of these unique aspects of my modelling career, or how my priorities shift in time. I’d be curious to hear not only other model’s opinions - if they’d add or remove any items, but also if you could apply the same game/ comparison to your job.

Perception is everything ❤️. Both of every point can exist simultaneously without ignoring the other.

For the past year, I’ve really been enjoying remote photography. It’s been so fun to create with photographers and locations that don’t quite line up logistically. It’s helped deepen my interest in photography, and have made me focus more on the little details that really make an image.

Have you given remote photography a try yet? I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay! I personally love it 😁 Every time I earn money on a remote shoot, I invest part of it back to improve my gear and studio!

Hiii I’m officially offline! I’ve left on an adventure through the Greater Patagonia Trail and do not plan to be back online until my flight back Feb 18th.

If we have something booked for after that, please don’t take my no response as disengagement. I’ll be back to my (delayed but) responsive self when I return home to Canada! Of course, there may be some backlog to get through first though …

I’m really excited to take such a large chuck offline and spent a lot of time preparing for it - so don’t be weird about it plz 🙏. I’m sure after, I’ll be quite happy to reconnect after a much needed unplugging.

PS: I do have an assistant helping manage some of my accounts while I’m away, specifically for my upcoming Euro tour. He’s fully authorized to act on my behalf, so if you happen to see activity online, that’s likely him! He’s also happy to assist with any Euro tour related questions.

Portraits have always been my weak spot. I feel far more free in flowing full bodied poses. With a focus on my face, the safety of grand gestures drops. What’s left are micro motions, measured moments, and minimal movement. It takes me some time to settle into these slower, more conscious expressions, but like everything - practice makes perfect.

I’ve been stuck ruminating recently, so I’ve consciously been working towards returning to my optimistic views. I’d love to hear what perspective changes you’ve had recently! I’ll be sharing a few that has really helped me, like this one: “what a blessing to be tired in the pursuit of a challenge of your own choosing”. Do you have any to share?

I realize along with some external situations outside of modelling, I’ve been really caught up with how busy I’ve been with it. Realizing I was burnt out and shifting to more slow paced event running and sharing the workload with my talented friends in addition to planning far in advance for my own comfort (even if it’s uncomfortable for people around me) has really helped dig me out as well. And also, I remember starting modelling like 12 years ago, and working/ experimenting for like 2 years before getting paid for the first time?? Nevermind having the problem now of being overbooked 😅 I’m grateful and burnt out, and right now both of those exist at the same time. I am learning to be a better boss to myself and take more breaks, and I’m thankful for the support system I have worked so hard to curate to help me 🙏
