Sqwiggle Art Sqwiggle Art is a artist profile following the creative output of Camelia Melillo.

Camelia is currently studying Studio Arts at Concordia University although most of her works are not created in school. Using a variety of materials, she explores the lifestyle of the domesticated human. Lately, her works reflect a transition from living close to nature to living in a large city. Through comparison and image distortion she allows the viewer to see elements of their own life from a

new perspective. The Sqwiggles are a pattern which surfaces a lot in her works: a tree, a maze, a flow of movement in which she can lose herself.

I started this painting a few years ago. The top half. Whatever the headspace of the moment was - it wasn’t inviting me to come back for a second sitting. Years looking at it. Unfinished.
Whatever the headspace of today was - I didn’t care. Different brown paint, paint brush, paint application. Different and ok. Reflecting on then and now. All ok
