Nebraska Coliseum has built a new IP production facility with Grass Valley, moving to SMPTE ST 2110 with K-Frame production switchers and LDX cameras.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletics operation now has three new control rooms, with an IP infrastructure designed to support productions across campus and accommodate future UHD and HDR requirements.

The project also gives students hands-on experience with professional production technology and workflows they are likely to encounter in the broadcast industry.

Thank you to Garrett Hill and the entire HuskerVision team for their trust in Grass Valley, and to BeckTV for its systems integration expertise in delivering this new IP production facility.

We will be at NAB Show New York next week, October 21–22, at Booth 121, showcasing our latest live production, IP infrastructure and software-defined production technologies.

Thank you, Tim Broenstrup, for sharing RTL Germany’s experience with AMPP at the DACH Forum.

Tim presented a case study on RTL’s move to an AMPP-based live production environment for sports distribution, supporting international Bundesliga distribution and RTL’s UEFA competition coverage through remote production from its Cologne operations hub.

The approach gives RTL flexible, scalable production capabilities, including production galleries and a flypack that can support concurrent productions.

CABSAT 2026 brought Grass Valley together with customers, broadcasters, production companies and partners from across the Middle East and beyond.

At the booth, we demonstrated LDX cameras, AVORA All-in-One Live Production and solutions covering live production, media workflows and playout.

Many of the conversations centered on practical questions around modernization: extending existing SDI infrastructure, introducing IP and software-based workflows, and deciding where cloud makes sense. Different operations are taking different approaches, but the objective is the same: improving workflows without having to replace everything at once.

Thank you to everyone who visited us in Dubai and took the time to meet with the team.

A few highlights from CABSAT 2026. 📸

Great to welcome the Ekstraklasa Live Park team to Grass Valley’s Center of Excellence in Krakow, with the support of our partners Twenty4Seven.

Ekstraklasa Live Park produces the television signals for Poland’s top football league, Ekstraklasa, and has been a Grass Valley customer since 2016, with Grass Valley cameras and production switchers supporting its OB operations.

With a new Media Center under development in Warsaw, Live Park is exploring a move towards remote and hybrid production. During their visit, the team explored AMPP and Live Apps, including Mav X, Live Touch X and Sport Producer, and discussed how these technologies could support their future production environment.

Thanks to the Live Park team for visiting our Krakow Center of Excellence, and to Twenty4Seven for helping make the visit possible. It was a great opportunity to discuss Live Park’s plans for its new Media Center.

Game Creek Video’s run of mobile production builds continues, with its latest project taking ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown to a new level.

The new Countdown mobile unit is designed to work alongside ESPN’s Flagship production facility, with both trucks using SMPTE ST 2110 to share video, audio and comms. Game Creek has also completed major upgrades to its Celtic and Columbia trucks for CBS, as well as Larkspur and Maverick for ESPN.

Grass Valley K-Frame SXP is part of the story across the new builds. Countdown features a K-Frame SXP configured at 192×96 in UHD and fully integrated into the IP infrastructure at 100 Gbps. Celtic and Columbia have also moved from their previous 192×96 3G switchers to K-Frame SXP, giving them 192×96 UHD capability.

Sports Video Group goes inside the trucks and looks at how Game Creek is approaching IP, UHD and its move toward a best-of-breed technology strategy.

NVP is using Grass Valley technology to bring two different LaLiga production models together within one unified production environment.

For LaLiga Hypermotion, NVP has built a new production center in Madrid around Grass Valley AMPP, enabling centralized, software-defined production across multiple matches. LaLiga EA Sports continues to be produced through NVP’s outside broadcast fleet, with both workflows operating within the same wider technology environment.

With more than 760 live matches produced each season, the deployment combines centralized production, IP infrastructure and UHD HDR acquisition across both competitions.

In this video, Ivan Pintabona, Ismael Marcer and Miguel Gallardo from NVP, together with Carlos Ferreira from Grass Valley, discuss the project, the technology behind it and how NVP is approaching live production at scale.
