Très tôt, elle tombe amoureuse du dessin et même de la peinture. Déterminée, elle suivra un chemin qui lui permettra d’exprimer et de stimuler sa créativité. De ses études artistiques, mais aussi maintenant en tant que peintre, Edith voit la vie en couleurs! La teinte est forte, éclatante mais aussi apaisante. Elle a finalement choisi la peinture acrylique et les encres qui offrent des techniques intéressantes pour égayer ses toiles. Dans son portfolio, principalement figuratif au début de sa carrière, les peintures d’Edith cèdent progressivement la place à l’abstraction, une esthétique autour de la matière et du temps. Ces peintures sont souvent reliées à dame nature et font ressortir sa beauté naturelle. Sa palette de couleur fait ressortir son engouement pour les couleurs vibrantes. Son intérêt grandissant pour l’art pur l’ont amené à suivre récemment des cours avec MOMA de New York, l’Université de Melbourne en Australie et le Musée des Beaux Arts de Montréal. Sa participation à plusieurs exposition de groupes et son implication dans des associations d’artistes l’ont fait connaître particulièrement dans l’ouest de l’Ile de Montréal. Avec la possibilité d’exposer de façon virtuelle elle peut maintenant partager son talent avec un plus grand public.

Edith was born in 1960 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Very early on, she fell in love with drawing and even painting. Determined, she will follow a path that will allow her to express and stimulate her creativity. From her artistic studies, but also now as a painter, Edith sees life in color! The shade is strong, radiant but also soothing. In 2005, she decided to follow her deep desire: to paint full time. Edith then uses all her skills and influences together to paint works of art that will be sources of light, vibrations and emotions. She finally chose acrylic paint and inks which offer interesting techniques to brighten up her canvases. In her portfolio, mainly figurative at the start of her career, Edith’s paintings gradually give way to abstraction, an aesthetic around matter and time. These paintings are often connected with Mother Nature and bring out her natural beauty. Her color palette brings out her craze for vibrant colors. Her growing interest in pure art has led her to recently take courses with MOMA in New York, the University of Melbourne in Australia and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Her participation in several group exhibitions and her involvement in artists’ associations made her known particularly in the West Island of Montreal. With the ability to exhibit virtually she can now share her talent with a wider audience.
