A quick sketch made with acrylic pens that I had for MORE THAN a YEAR!
After a Collab with Omer Deserres in 2023, I got a kit of Acrylic pens with 24 colors, an artist's dream. I was so mentally burned out, I never touched it until now....

I'm ashamed but I'm also impressed 🤣🤣 they didn't dry out, that's craaaazy!

One thing that is AMAZING about Art Shows is to hear people's comments on pieces. Most artists, we're 90% of the time alone with our thoughts and our art so it is truly unique to hear inputs.💎

Sometimes I hear the most UNHINGED things that literally never crossed my mind ever, but hey, you do you! 🤣
The other extreme is fascinating. To have someone think exactly the same thing as you is so bonding. I feel like I have a new friend lol!

🖼️ As for the painting, I love this portrait. It's an imaginary woman, so not based on anyone. Contrary to other paintings, this one I didn't use any reference picture. She listens to music and is unbothered, a total vibe imo!

Every artist has both : a piece they didn't expect was going to be popular to this extent and a piece they THOUGHT would be popular and nobody really noticed it.

This one is definitely the latter! When I made it, I thought it looked so cool! The 70s vibe, the brush stroke (i just love wild brush strokes), the vibe, the black &white ... Surprisingly went unnoticed in the gram the first time I posted it. This is take 2. ✌🏽

At the first vernissage, it did grab the attention of a few eyes. The people who noticed it loved it as much as I did but it was rare. I may kill my engagement by posting it again, or maybe finally people will get my vision 🤷🏽😅.

It's also another small piece, which may explain why people don't see it as much as others.

My favorite. I may have peaked at that painting.*nervous laugh* 😅

I realized that this painting gave off a Mona Lisa effect: people were surprised at how small it was in real life. (Picture 2 for reference) I think it's perfect for a little coffee corner! ☕
Maybe i shouldn't have put it next to one of the biggest paintings as well, lesson learned haha!

There's something so mesmerizing when you look at a natural beauty. Like this is elegance in its pure form, as God intended!

This painting was a commissioned piece. The couple really liked another painting of mine and wanted a similar vibe but with a green dress. "Let's make it happen then!" And I loved doing it. It was delivered in 2022 and recently, they showed me how the painting is still there and they still love it 😍.

I have mixed feelings about commission to be honest with you. It highlights my imposter syndrome 'what if I fail?' and I get in my head, and my head is a complicated place. I am my meanest, cruelest and my best supporter at the same time.
Every commission is a bit easier than the last one and I look forward to the next ones to improve and handle myself and my anxiety better.

The other part of the mix that I love is how loving people are when they ask for commissions. I may possibly have the best clients and artist can have. Don't get me wrong, I've had my share of nightmares 🥲 but they are far from being the majority! (I also got better at identifying them and I straight up refuse to work with nightmares on 2 feet lol).
When a match is made between a creative and an art enthusiast, crazy stuff can happen (the good kind of crazy) a vision takes place and the spark creates amazing stuff! I'm working on another commissioned piece right now (the only one I'm working on at the moment) and when it's done, I shall share what it looks like!!!
