MTL HC a film about the MTL HC scene. Ten years in the making, with members of Unruled, No Policy, Genetic Control, DOA, DBC and others.

The Montreal hardcore punk music scene from the early eighties was a real phenomenon as a ton of bands played really good music in an intricately built DIY scene. The energy and raw power of these shows, combined with Montreal's inherently less violent culture, meant a harmonious Thrashing pit that was a swirling mass of release from the problems of youth, or at least in my mind it was! e look into the scene from the start in the early eighties up until now. With interviews, band footage and archival material. Also insight on what the rest of the world thinks of the Montreal Hardcore scene. And we delve into the connection between speed metal and hardcore, if any.
