My lastest custom project made for a fellow car lover's family, plus a bonus story!
1984 El Camino SS
I was in Chateauguay, riding on my 1999 Kawasaki Ninja on my way to Montreal on the 132. At the light I turned my head around to the last gas station in Chateauguay, the Shell was no longer there. Then I saw the car go in the gas station I was like “what the f***!” I completely forgot that I was coming back. I cut through every car to check it out; I was like a kid in front of a banana split with chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, everything… I started talking with the guy when he suddenly said “I’ll sell it” because it was his dads car who had just passed away. (RIP guy’s dad) He didn’t feel like riding it now that his father had passed. I told him “don’t worry it’s already sold” but the problem was I didn’t have a penny! No money… but I didn’t tell him that. I gave him my number and left.
I was thinking the guy wasn’t gonna call me. 2 weeks later the phone rings and I answer. “Remember the guy with the El Camino?” I said “Of course I remember not you, but the car!” He said “you want it?” I said “For real?!” I thought he was joking, then he said “For real do you want it?” I said “you’re joking” he said “nah, no joke!”
Still I had my problem, no $$$. So finally I had to tell him the truth and he said no problem! Pay me in a year. Wait whaaat? A month later after hustling like a beast I brought him $5000k. The week after $2K, the month after $1K, 3 months later $3K, 2 months 2k, around the 10th month I paid the last 3k$ and went to pick it up!
That's the story of my beautiful babe!
