A Fichu Turns with Pierre-OlivierBeaulac Bouchard

"A Fichu Turns" is an incentive of the company created in an effort to collect testimonials of the human beings who are embodying what the company is in its core. "A Fichu Turns" sessions are hosted by Cai Glover at Proto Studio and filmed by Steffie Boucher

This may 2025, our artistic director, Cai Glover, welcomed the talented Pierre-Olivier P-O Beaulac-Bouchard to Proto Studio.
With generosity, P-O spoke of his ever-deepening love for dance, of his desire to weave people of all abilities into the fabric of this art form. He also shared his journey with our company and how, through his collaboration with Cai, the piece DISORDER has taken shape and grown.
We are deeply grateful to you, P-O, for your boundless energy and the unique light you bring to our company.

🫂A FICHU TURNING welcomes KYRA JEAN GREEN

(French will follow in the comments)

Kyra Jean Green is a Montreal-based dancer and mother whose practice is rooted in emotional honesty, vulnerability, and questioning what can’t be answered with words. She returned to Montreal in 2015 to perform with Les 7 Doigts in Triptyque, and from 2015 to 2025 has danced for many other Montreal choreographers and productions, including Sylvain Émard, FASS, CAPAS, Révolution, La France a un incroyable talent, and C2, to name a few. Known for her expressive presence and dynamic movement language, she has performed across Canada, Europe, and the U.S. Kyra continues to deepen her artistic voice through long-standing collaborations and performance projects. While she also choreographs and directs, her heart remains firmly grounded in movement and connection through performance.

« Oh mother
To you, what am I?
Find me hobbled beneath your smooth pale face
Not ready yet for knees
The curve of my neck an image of clam if it were not for its hook-like appearance Whole?
Amassed of what?
Myself?
Amassed like a mob
A network of shrieking mouths calling out at the hand that feeds on the hand that feeds on the hand
My love is gestic
And my hands are tied »
