Now, "Night" is ready. This one took even longer than "Day". I mean, that moon in the sky was no walk in the park.

There's just one detail in both "Day" and "Night" that needs to be finished. Can you spot it?

The lyrics for these 2 are ready, and I'm designing a way to show them that does justice to the whole set. I'm also working on a couple small companion pieces. Once everything is ready, I'll share the whole shebang, and also where/when to get prints of everything.

If you want to see this kind of thing before I share it on socials, join the Art Family! I always send them everything before I show it anywhere else, and they also get dibs and perks on any new prints and products. Take a look at the link in bio!

"Day" is finished. It was a billion lines and a lot of ink, but it was worth the effort. What do you think?

Now, I’m deep in the weeds (literally) working on its companion piece, "Night". The Art Family gets the first look at the full set next week. (Link in bio to join the fun)

I just finished the biggest, most complex ink piece I've ever drawn. "Day" is done. Now, I'll start working on its companion piece: "Night".

Also, I just shared the whole thing and the story behind it with the Art Family. If you don't want to miss this kind of thing, join the gang going to

Inktober 2025-Day 31: “Award”
“Look on my works, ye Hairless Apes, and despair”

Well folks, this is it. The end of Ink/Zooctober. A battle, some days, boundless joy others, and it almost did me in. But I prevailed. Some drawings I love, some I tolerate, and others I’m fu***ng proud of. Above all, I hope you had a good time and enjoyed the show and the journey. Me? I’m fu***ng tired, and I need my rest. But yeah, I’m one silly, proud ape.

See you soon, friends.

Inktober 2025-Day 30: “Vacant”
“Vacant of death does not mean full of life”

I almost wasn’t able to get this done on time. The first idea I had for the prompt was too ambitious for a 6x8 piece of paper, and then life happened and I ended up with a very small window of time to work on this one. Which is good, I think, because it forced me to pare down the piece a bit, to go with the “Vacant” idea. A bit of a stark piece for a stark prompt. What do you think, folks?

Inktober 2025-Day 29: “Lesson”
“But Mooooooommmm!!!!”

Closer and closer to the end, I’m having a blast trying things. Boy, is fur hard, hahaha!
But, the prompt worked so well with this idea! The Cub all grumpy after mom caught her red-pawed in the thick of shenanigan-land, and Mom, just living in that tiny, dangerous space between really tired and totally fed up, ready to teach her a lesson on lioness-ness.
What’s your take on it? Do you like it? Let me know!

Inktober 2025-Day 28: “(Exo)Skeletal”
“When the giant crabs came, we were NOT ready...”

How sad is it that I’m starting to get the hang of this ink thing, and Inktober’s almost over? It takes a while for me to love a piece once I finish it. But this one has a couple spots I’m really proud of, and I really, really want to keep tugging that thread to see where it takes me. Also, this is my first try at stippling. So, what do you say? Does the giant killer crab work?

Inktober 2025-Day 27: “Onion”
“Casting directors HATE this trick...”

A silly play on “crocodile tears” and “onion”. Today I found myself panicking because we’re close to the end of Inktober and I lost the lead I’d built. From now on I’ll be drawing every piece the same day. But instead of drawing this one as fast as I could, I tried to make careful, intentional lines. Took longer, but I think it looks better. (It didn’t improve the joke, tho...😁 ) What do YOU think?

Inktober 2025-Day 26: “Puzzling”
“There's a hole at the center of everything...”

Cutting it a little close today, aren't we? Well, the truth is, as we get closer to the end of Inktober, keeping the pace gets harder. But here I am and here I'll be tomorrow, folks. I still have no idea what I'll draw, but I'll be here.

Anyway, here's a puzzling giraffe. What do you think?

As always, ink on paper. 6x8 inches.
