How music can change a city

Olivier and I met in July 2020 after I called him saying I was looking for someone to help me direct a documentary. I needed someone to help me direct my vision on what live music meant - and what it meant to a city like Montreal. All it really took was a decent camera, a mic, and some amazing artists to interview (which wasn’t hard to find). Sure enough, a few days later we came up with the idea of creating an artist collective called LIVE in Montreal. With much of our summer left, and endless goals to accomplish, we hit the ground running.

LIVE in Montreal is an artist-managed, non-profit organization seeking to empower small-scale musicians through promotional services & collaborations. Our current project at hand is a documentary seeking to promote our music community in which the team can bridge our artists with local commerce to increase their visibility. Ultimately, Live in Montreal’s mission is to empower self-sustainable local artists while helping them attain higher global recognition.

Throughout everything we’ve accomplished so far, I’d like to give a special thanks to my friends Thomas & Anne-Marie for putting me in touch with Olivier. None of this would have happened without your help.
