This reference is from a hiking trip I made with my lil brother to Minnewaska State Park in Sep 2020 (!! tf? Idk where time went!😅)

I took this photo knowing that I'd like to paint it one day. I guess I just didn't know how to! I have to say I didn't love the lighting, so I tried to play with it today, and this is what I came up with☀️

Boy, do I wish I were here rn🥲

I made a short trip to Miami last summer, and while being on the plane, I saw this beautiful light coming from a window and immediately wanted to capture it. Spoiler alert: I didn't like my first try 😅

So I went back at it this week. I wanted to make something more complex and challenging, so here's the final result! Swipe to see how the original illustration was👈🏻 and pick your fave.

Ps.: I took the lighting reference from .soareszz work, so this is also a study on how he uses light and color (which I find beautiful)
