I made these ramen bowls as a gift. Thinking that these may need to enter the rotation. The black glaze on speckled clay, gets silver speckles that are quite fabulous and painting these was so much fun.

Do you think I should make more?

A gaggle of bird mugs and bowls hot out of the kiln and a commission I’m super happy with. Birds and flowers, it makes sense. There are more birds (not pictured) being shipped off across the country for presents….. oh what fun and what a good feeling when things turn out as hoped.

This coming weekend Dec 19,20,21 I’ll be at
It’s my 4th time at Puces pop but my first time doing the Christmas edition, and it’s my last show of 2025. I adore ! It’s the first place I showed my work in Montreal and it’s a very special community of makers, organizers and visitors. I’m still riding the high of such lovely feedback at which was an absolute joy.

This year I set some goals for my craft. Many have been achieved, and there is a long list to tackle, (one thing at a time). I am excited for what’s next. Immersing in developing skills in pottery and painting has been a massive gift for me, a risk for sure to go all in, but one I am so glad I committed to. There are so many more things I want to make and explore.

As I wait on the last bisque of the year to cool so I can glaze this batch, I’m really overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and encouragement in Ontario and Quebec and further afield.

Thank you sincerely for supporting individual makers whether it’s with words of encouragement and appreciation or purchasing pieces. It’s all super meaningful to those of us who spend much of our time making, alone. I look forward to gathering with my fellow makers this weekend, our sort of traveling circus and I look forward to seeing you there.

This weekend was a lovely gathering of creative humans making beautiful things out of clay. I was reminded of the mechanism of community.
Pictured is one of my neighbours at the show, , not pictured is another tremendously lovely neighbour - we 3 were very lucky to happen to find ourselves together for the show. - Please check out their work, it’s truly lovely. All the potters involved in the show are wonderful people who make beautiful pieces. I am always amazed at the endless possibilities of how people create with this medium.
The sharing of advice, wisdom, encouragement and philosophies in pottery and life was tremendous. On day one, Efi and I talked about the discomfort of monetizing creative work. I suggested we think of it as trading time for time. Our time, for the customers time. Today she suggested we trade time for time… and we did. I’ll cherish my magical lustrous cups as the beautiful objects they are and the messages they hold from all the very authentic sharing that transpired.

Thank you to all the organizers and everyone that came out.
