Vance Gillis is a writer, director and actor originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has performed at Just For Laughs, Vancouver International Improv Festival, SOlOS Festival, Ottawa Improv Festival, Combustion Festival, Del Close Marathon, Montreal Sketchfest and (naturally) the Montreal Fringe Festival, among others. Scripted stage credits include The Kicker, The Big M Show and Weeping Spoon’s Trampoline.

He can be seen around town often performing at Mile End Improv’s Every Thursday Improv Show and the bi-monthly sketch r***e Night Slime as well as Wassup, which happens monthly at Montreal Improv.

He’s got a busy Fringe: he’ll be seen in the scripted comedy Surprise! as tech bro Craig, and will also appear in several improv comedy shows: Flip Flop at Petit Campus on Thursday, June 18th and three different editions of Mile End Improv’s Fest Of The Fest.

MEET THE CAST OF SURPRISE!

Olivia Peet is a Montreal-based performer, best known for FLOPS!, the award-winning comedy-musical she wrote, directed and starred in this past April as part of Moment Theatre Collective’s One Acts Now festival. She’s also a regular at Mile End Improv, where she will be seen this coming Friday, June 19th in Fest Of The Fest.

A reminder that Fringe shows start on time and the latecomer policy for Surprise! is just 5 minutes after showtime!

In other words, unlike most shows in the improv or sketch comedy world which tend to start a bit late, ticket holders for the Fringe are encouraged to arrive on time.

Colin Nash is thrilled to join the cast of Surprise, his second time on stage this year following a long break from acting. He brings over a decade of experience in film, television, and theatre, most recently starring as Charles in Always. Thank you to Vance Gillis and his team for the opportunity.
