What an unforgettable day celebrating community, health, and heritage! Bringing good fortune and blessings to a space created with pure compassion.

We had the absolute honor of performing a traditional Chinese lion dance for the formal inauguration of the Jardin de la Famille Claude et Stanley D.K. Ma at the Montreal Chinese Hospital .foundation .

This beautiful outdoor sanctuary is a project years in the making, made possible by a major gift from the Ma family and generous community donors. Its purpose is simple yet vital: to ensure that long-term care residents can step outside into fresh air, sunlight, and nature. Featuring a pavilion, soothing water features, and rich cultural design, the garden offers therapeutic value and a peaceful gathering space for residents, families, and staff in the heart of Chinatown.

In Chinese tradition, the lion is invited to open a new space; to clear away misfortune, to awaken the ground, and to call in good health and prosperity for everyone who will use it. For a healing garden serving elders in long-term care, that blessing carries real meaning.

Huge congratulations to NACIVT organizers Jenny Hui, Edmund Chan, and Nick Nei from Toronto, alongside all tournament directors, committee members, and community leaders involved, for their years of tireless dedicated efforts and planning to keep this tournament stepping up for 81 years! 🏆🏐

Huge welcome to NACIVT from Sifu Jimmy Chan, our Montreal Chinese community leader, president of the Montreal Chan Association, founder and Sifu of the Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club, founder of One World One Humanity, and founder of the Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival. 🌟🦁

(May 30, 2026) The Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club had the privilege of performing at the Chan Association's Spring banquet at Ruby Rouge in Chinatown, a gathering that brought together members and elders of the Chan family association for an evening of tradition, recognition, and celebration.

Performing for our own family association is always a special occasion; it is a chance to give thanks to the elders who have supported our lineage and to honor the cultural roots that continue to shape our club today.

As Montreal's Cultural Ambassadors, we bring this same energy and reverence to private banquets, weddings, festivals, and community celebrations across the city and province.
