Thanks to everyone who came out to support What Comes Next? 🔮 We had a great time building the story with the audience suggestions, one chapter at a time. Like any true fantasy quest, there was even an unforeseen challenge mid-adventure (everyone is OK!) and the story kept rolling thanks to our amazing cast and audience.

What Comes Next? The Tale of Matilda and the Birds

🐦 CHAPTER ONE: I Discover I Have the Magical Ability to Summon Pigeons… Mostly

Matilda discovers that her strong emotions summon pigeons and learns from the birds that they are sad because they used to have purpose delivering letters.

💎 CHAPTER TWO: I Get Sent on a Quest to Find a Diamond

Matilda learns that Gregory the school’s Groundskeeper used to have the ability to talk to birds and that is passed onto her. The pigeons (and Stevie the Seagull) explain that there’s a magical diamond that will reverse the misdoings of an evil king who took away the bird’s ability to communicate with humans.

🧙‍♀️ CHAPTER THREE: I Find Myself Inside a Cave

Matilda, Gregory the Groundskeeper, and Stevie the Seagull find themselves inside a cave. Matilda narrowly escapes from an evil witch, finds a map to the diamond, meets some helpful bunnies, and learns about the evil king’s descendent who is only 30 minutes ahead of her on the journey…

🍄 CHAPTER FOUR: I Get Advice from a Gnome

Matilda gets side-tracked by an apparition of her long-lost mother, who turns out to be a cave monster. Gregory the Groundskeeper tries to save Matilda and is struck; with his last breaths he turns back into a gnome and gives her the advice she needs to go on.

🐉 CHAPTER FIVE: I Come Face to Face with a Dragon

Matilda finds the king’s descendent and his goose-turned-dragon at the heart of the cave. The dragon breathes fire and Stevie the Seagull jumps in the way - disintegrating into dust. “You must lose a treasure to gain a treasure” - the diamond appears where Stevie fell.

Matilda fights off the wizard and uses the diamond to enable birds and humans to connect and live in harmony once more.

Step into the realm of “Legends Only”! This improv show brings ancient gods, heroes, and fairytale creatures to life, taking you on a wild ride through epic tales that have captured generations.

Will legendary figures like Zeus, Thor, and King Arthur make an appearance? There’s only one way to find out!

Featuring some of the city’s most legendary improvisers, the show includes a series of scenes and a mini-improvised play woven from fairytales, myths, and legends.

🚀 Some photos from our first Dr Who, Improvised

We went back to the French Revolution (1789-1799 - we looked it up 😆) where the King of France was actually an alien who could manipulate bones.

The whole palace was guarded by figures made of bone and Marie Antoinette was turned back into a baby so that she could grow up, turn back into a baby, grow up again, and essentially live forever alongside the King.

Meanwhile the French Revolution was in full swing and angry people (Laurent and Jean) were storming the palace.

Dr Who managed to turn Marie Antoinette back into a full-grown woman, just in time for her to live out her destiny 👀

Thank you to everyone for coming out to support the show. We had a blast and hope you did too!! 🙌
